So we got an email today from the Co-Founder of JunebugWeddings saying; “I’m writing to let you know that we featured one of your amazing images today on our blog ‘What Junebug Loves’ as part of a “Phenomenal Photography” feature”. From JunebugWeddings.com The Adoration: Among the thousands of wedding images submitted to us for our Best from the Best 2009 Fashion Report, there were some that, although they didn’t make the final selection, we kept going back to over and over again because they were just so much FUN! We love these great photos for showing us the silliness, the sense of humor, and the joyful exuberance that are such magical parts of a wedding day!
On the first day of 2010, while other people were relaxing at home enjoying their new year’s holiday, we were out shooting Malaysia’s most anticipated and talked about wedding of the year. It is the wedding of Malaysian actress, Serina Redzuawan and Gavin O’Luanaigh a.k.a Salahuddin Ghaffar.
To any non-Malaysians reading this, Serina is the daughter of Chef Wan, one of the most celebrated chefs in the world. You can also read more about Chef Wan here.
Both of us were very honored to be a part of the beautiful celebration and we would like to thank the happy couple, Serina & Gavin and their family for giving us the opportunity to be one of the many photographers to capture the celebration (seriously, the number of photographers and media there was insane!).
The wedding, which was a three days celebration (we only covered two days), was glorious and beautiful with a tasteful fusion of Malay tradition and modern decoration. The decoration, the atmosphere, the beautiful dresses and costumes needs to be seen in real life to be fully appreciated. It was a challenge for us to capture the whole feel and experience of the wedding, but we did the best that we can and we hope you will enjoy the images of the wedding below.

It is an extreme honor for us to be featured in JunebugWeddings, one of the most reputable international wedding blogs out there, for their annual The World’s Best from the Best Wedding Photography 2009! It rendered us speechless the moment we knew that one of our images was selected amongst thousands that were submitted. We were also in a state of disbelief and felt truly honored when we realized our image was featured amongst our idols’ such as Jose Villa, Angelica Glass, Elizabeth Messina, Max Wanger and The Image Is Found. We have only been in the wedding industry less than a year, and to us, it is a tremendous achievement as the only photographers representing South East Asia, and to Kavita + Rohit, you guys are purely awesome for trusting us to be a part on your big day! Thank you for this. And a huge thank you to the awesome ladies at Junebug for providing this opportunity to wedding photographers all over the world. You guys rock! Wohoooo!
